Cookie Policy
A short, honest account of what cookies xperion.ai uses and why.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed in your browser by the sites you visit. They are widely used to make sites work, to remember preferences, and (more controversially) to track behaviour across the web. This page explains what we use, and what we deliberately do not.
What we use on xperion.ai
We use strictly necessary cookies only. No third-party analytics, no advertising trackers, no cross-site identifiers.
- Session cookie (
xp_session): a short-lived first-party cookie that maintains your session if you sign in to a private area. Expires when you close the browser, or after 12 hours, whichever comes first. - CSRF token (
xp_csrf): a first-party cookie used to protect form submissions against cross-site request forgery. Required for any form to work safely. Expires with the session. - Preference cookie (
xp_pref): a first-party cookie that remembers display preferences such as reduced-motion overrides set on this site. Optional, expires after 12 months.
These cookies are necessary to deliver the service you requested, and so under EU and UK rules they do not require prior consent. We do not show a cookie banner because there is nothing non-essential to consent to.
What we do not use
- No Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Segment, or similar third-party analytics tags.
- No advertising cookies, no retargeting pixels, no Meta Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag.
- No cross-site identifiers, fingerprinting libraries, or session replay tools.
- No social media share trackers loaded from third-party domains.
This is a deliberate choice. We collect aggregated, privacy-preserving traffic counts from our hosting infrastructure logs (IP, referer, user agent), retained for 30 days for security and capacity planning. That is enough to run the business.
Local storage and similar technologies
We may use first-party localStorage for the same purposes as the preference cookie above (for example, remembering that you dismissed an informational notice). We do not use IndexedDB, service workers, or browser fingerprinting for tracking.
How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Useful starting points:
If you block the strictly necessary cookies above, forms and sign-in flows on this site will not work. Most of the public site is fully functional with all cookies blocked.
Changes to this policy
If we ever start using non-essential cookies, we will update this page, show a compliant consent banner, and not set them before you opt in. The "Last updated" date will reflect any change.
